There are many opportunities to serve as part of the Accelerate team and we couldn’t run the event without people like you!

TEAMS

The Welcome Team
Does just that – welcomes delegates! A smile, cheery greeting and an ability to retain information and then communicate it clearly to others are all good abilities to possess.

Youth (Years 7–9)
Come and get stuck in with Simon Thomas and the youth work at Accelerate.  Two morning sessions for Yrs7-9, with games, teaching and small discussion groups, a little something for everyone, so if you love young people, sign up and join in the fun.
 

Kids
From last year’s experience the kids’ work was definitely the place to be with healings, children receiving gifts, and significant times of encountering God.  Enthusiastic and eager volunteers are required for all 3 age groups.  All or no experience welcome, this is a great opportunity to share your gifting with others or learn some new ideas.
Pre-school (age 3 & 4) – 3 morning sessions,

Key Stage 1: Reception to Year 2 – 3 morning sessions

Key Stage 2: Years 3–6 – 3 morning sessions and Saturday evening session

Please indicate your age preference and any kids’ work experience on your serving form.
 

Site Security and Safety Team
You would be responsible for the safety of delegates on site, which will include patrols, traffic supervision and dealing with incidents as they arise.
 

Stewarding Team
Being part of this team will mean you look after the safety and comfort of delegates while the meetings are taking place. This includes checking that the venues are safe beforehand, during and after the meetings.
 

Toilet and Shower cleaning team
Handy with a mop? We could use you as part of this team – the unsung heroes!
 

Assisting in “The Hub”
The centre of social activity at Accelerate - Café, ice cream parlour, book stall and much more. Friendly helpers are needed.
 

Site Set Up and Site Take Down
Are you free to help set up the site ready for everyone or take down the site as the event finishes? If you are the practical “hands on” type, we need you!

APPLYING TO SERVE

If you'd like to serve in one of the above areas, please tick the serving box on the booking form.  You'll automatically be sent details of what to do next.

Because we take the welfare of our delegates at Together at Accelerate very seriously, we require all servers to read and abide by our Child Protection / Safeguarding Policy and to obtain a recommendation from one of their church elders.

For certain teams we also require the church recruiter to have seen evidence of a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, dated on or after 1 August 2006. These teams are: all members of the Site Security Team, Kids' Work and Youth (Years 7-9) teams.

NB Please note that obtaining a new CRB disclosure can take up to 12 weeks, so if you require a disclosure or need to renew your current one please apply without delay to ensure you're able to serve.
